Birthday Card

Is it horrible of me that I didn't send out one Christmas card this year? Time just escaped me.

My B-I-L had birthday and this is what I came up with...

the only thing I wish I would have done different is that instead of the bow I would have tied a knot. Oh well... he didn't seem to notice.

Also, this will be one of the cards featured at my Super Stamp, February 3rd. More details to come.

Supplies:
All About Birthdays Wheel, Tempting Turquoise cartridge
Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White , Green Galore Cardstock
1/4 Grosgrain Pumpkin Pie Ribbon
VersaMark marker

co-worker gifts

wow...talk about being on a roll!

so, i originally had wanted to make those clear boxes that hold 10 of the ghiradelli chocolate's but time and my poor fraction skills stood in the way of me getting the boxes to fold perfectly however I couldn't be the only one not bringing something in so I came up with these instead!

aren't they cute?! I'm so impressed with myself!

hopefully my coworkers like 'em!

this will probably be the last post until after Christmas so everyone have a great Holiday!

make sure you eat and drink plenty...just don't drive!

Have a Merry Christmas!

Easy Peasy Wrapping

Doy...who got a friend their Christmas present the night before they were exchanging presents? Not me...violently shaking my head...;)

Ok, so maybe I did. Here is the partial gift:

Any guesses to what it may be?

well....

It's a MAC eye shadow. I know, a weird gift right? well, my gf likes it but refuses to spend such money on make-up so I got it for her and a gift certificate for anything else she may want.

How was i going to wrap this? Put the gift card in a card and hand her this little 1x1 box and say Merry Christmas?! No..I couldn't do that and all the other wrapping I had would be misleading, so I remembered I had a stash of lunch bags lying around. Why not alter it? I wanted the bag to be christmas-y but not be your traditional green and red. I found this stash of non-SU paper under my DSP and knew I hit the jackpot.

This is what i came up with...

Isn't it spiffy?! and on top of it all, it took me like 5 mins to "design" and another 15 to create it!

Let me tell you, it was sitting on my desk at work today and boy did I get a ton of compliments on it!!!!!!

Second Thank You

So here's my second Thank You card. Inspiration from here.

Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, River Rock and Very Vanilla. Ink: Versa-Mark Stamps: Carte Postale and Much Appreciated

Although I love this card, it was pretty time consuming since I'm not the owner of either the rectangle coluzzle or a die cut machine. {keeping the fingers crossed I'll receive one for Christmas}

Thanks is also embossed, mounted on River Rock and then on Chocolate Chip which is then propped up with Stampin' Dimensionals...seee....

Until I can cut out the center piece a littel faster, these will be for special occasions. Overall it was a relatively fast card.

First Thanks

First off, thanks to Nancy for leaving a comment. Nancy, please e-mail me your snail mail addy.

Now, back to the regular scheduled program...Ive been crazily working on some simple Thank You's before I run out.

This was my first attempt, The chocolate chip ribbon is adhered to an acetate sheet stamped with thanks in brown staz-on. Underneath is a sheet of river rock which is stamped with versa-mark, and both of />Tthose are attached to chocolate chip cardstock. I wasn't 100% on this card. I wanted something wow-ing however since I usually am waiting till the last minute to create a card I need something fast. Although, this is relatively fast, it felt a little too formal. The view below shows how the card consists of 3 layers.

Supplies:
Chocolate Chip, River Rock cardstock
Brown Staz-On
5/8" Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon
Acetate Sheet
Stamps: Carte Postale, Much Appreciated

Stay tuned because this week is the week of Thank-You's!
